Bypass 03:57
Each step we take Is destined for failure So why would you walk the plank When you can walk the plank hand in hand I tied a ribbon around you Your neck, your cheeks and your hair If this is despair, I think I can weather it well The harbour lights are something you don't see here I can show you A roads and B roads to swell the love in your heart The day is bright the night is glowing in red who said that romance is dead? Because of the landscape I think you misread. It could be enough to listen closely to what I say No flowers, no poets live around here. But in my mind, you are singing all around us people are singing shops and bars and retail parks singing factory outlets and tax havens singing and all the words just come out of their buildings in the streets the voices are ringing and the words i love you are written in six foot letters on a motorway sign on the bypass home
2.
This is the story of everything that went wrong Cure can never better prevention The collapse of the stilts, and we're still falling Something new will come along and replace the thing we called home This is the story of how we got locked in this room And made it a casket to furnished it as our tomb This is the story of how we learned to laugh At things that were said and done on our behalf The sun is setting over the chance you get for some relief The moon is pulling the tide over the sea walls that save us from grief
3.
so you think you are very sad but we're here to convince you otherwise you think you've read all you can read and politics has left you dissatisfied I don't want to change you mind It's the last thing on mine kissing the ground for security you know that change is necessary apologies but there is no answer every one of us is rotting away so let's spend out time on dancing, let's spend out money on nothing you can travel through the year, and not change at all when I picked up my lover from the station, she said she had seen it all tallest buildings, smallest homesteads "and I shopped till I dropped" said she I will will make you a homestead darling If you do a little dance with me it's important in life to expect to be free a bond, a union, a pact between the words you make truth or lies sometimes it's just our life-line we hold hands and walk straight through the ties and chains and ticket stiles two fingers for hoping we'd fail and two hands holding the final nail.
4.
I am climbing up the walls To see if you can fall into my arms Closely as we walk Finding reasons not to talk and hear your breathing climbing up a hill I will be here still, when you are gone and looking over walls To see if I can fall into you heart You ought to be waiting for me You've got to be waiting for me You've got to be making mistakes for now So that one day you'll be waiting for me
5.
it will never be the way we want it in the face of an argument your words just act as a death mask just flowers on a monument we all fall into it making my way to the one true love don't you stop me don't you stop me I pray to you like you're god above don't you stop me don't you stop me I'm making my way to the one true love to remind her of how much I love here and how much I can love I'll be your shelter when I get better making my way out over the coals and on to the shore to warn them all that love is a fragile thing oh love is a fragile thing I'm waving at ships to avoid this port and waving my flags as a last resort for love is a fragile thing oh love is a fragile thing it will never be the way you want it it's possible to concede your words just act as a crash mat when you fall head over feet but we all fall into it making my way to the one true love don't you stop me don't you stop me It's not what I've been dreaming of but don't you stop me don't you stop me I'm making my way to the one true love to remind her of all that's left here and how much I have lost I'll be your shelter when I get better making my way out over the coals and on to the shore to warn them all that love is a fragile thing oh love is a fragile thing I'm waving at ships to avoid this port and waving my flags as a last resort for love is a fragile thing

Signpost 02:26
hold tight, for your life has more to come just because you don't feel right today doesn't mean that you can't get over this hump if I'm a lump then I'll get out your way or maybe I'm like a stuttering car faster than walking but slower than others who took care of their engines when times were good like I never learned that I should if we're going the same way I'd like to come too my radio's broken, my heart is too weak to sing you the songs that I know that you'd like so I whistle and mumble for the rest of our night but I'll get you there, I'll get you there, I'll get you there drop you off with a smile on my face and I'll think in the dark hours that maybe I should be posting a signpost the other way
7.
You have every intention of Causing a storm in a teacup You will, you will, you will, you will Always do that But it started when you were a baby You never knew you could, you could, you could, you could Be so misguided You and I nothing to discuss You walk away and we go straight out of here no need for apologies no need for words at all you have filled my heart, and I am tired My body is a mess my body is a sign that I am past my best I am past fighting I just want to curl up And grow old with a brain that Can make me say things Can make me feel more brave than As time slips on My body is a stage Being acted on Directed by someone.

Mull 04:16
the seasons will permeate with your disgrace winter's sarcastic scorn mocks summer's warm embrace the words that you placed deep in my heart ache like a mistake oh my Damocles, my hate I cannot think of what to sing at your wake what would I say what would I do when they ask after you? I am terrified of that so I'll cover you with stones cover you with moss cover you with flowers forget what I've lost I had a dream your bandage untied and that you were alive and I was terrified of you I cannot think of what to sing at your wake what would I say what would I do when they ask after you? I am terrified of that I won't sing I can't sing I'll never sing Don't sing
9.
Spark 01:56
Scorch marks show where You tried your best I am soaked and your match is strong enough You won't set my heart on fire And you won't know how to set me alight so place your tinder all around and I'll wait here for the spark
10.
you are the victim to blame I haven't got a reason to care more and you are always to know the sense of the way to go out something will interfere with plans that we've made a hurricane, a thunderstorm a waste of a breath cos I have a thought but I don't have the space to tell the truth you walk out the door with a bang would you even look up to see if just say it was another fine year and you will lie again, and you will lie again something will interfere with plans that we've made a hurricane, a thunderstorm a waste of a breath cos I have a thought but I don't have the space in my black heart the sound will keep you waiting for more and for more, and the thought will keep you breathing and keeping the score and the hold they have on your neck is like an embrace cos you know that you're never even till they've had a taste you know that you're never even till they've had a taste the sound of ours is deafening the spivs and the crooks the things we said broke holes in their doors and their roofs and the sounds we make are deafening to you and your like we will make the same sound until this begins again and break into you heart and break into your home
11.
I woke up to find you discarded By that familial love that keeps you so warm I'm inadequate in every department and I'm guarding you without a sword I broke into your compartment Just to read what you wrote about me Do you consider that I dishearten All the things you give pulse to Well I'm sorry You said you were a broken person Why would you be more broken without me? So I ran and I ran and I ran And I hid and I hid and I hid And I made me some drastic plans To be with you always And these things That we say Will they ever make, any difference anyway? And the stars in your eyes And the blood on the stair We need to prepare, we should have prepared
12.
I post my thoughts into your arms and wait for a dignified response And I wait and I wait until it comes around in the grey morning And this grey morning is filled with doubts and ways to turn around this vacuum into doubt Would you ever waste it, we know Would you ever waste it, we don't think so So I try and I try not to forget that I make my self into something that I can't revert But he speaks softly to me, and as I fall asleep he tells me that the courage and the finish line will never meet Instead we open our hearts, we open our hearts to start and if I reach in, I can kill or I can save with one wrench of my hand I can kill, I can save with one wrench of my hand If we make more sense of what we can say I would As the effects take hold, I'll guarantee you

Paper Year 01:27
Some day you'll find that I am not here I've left you behind, or so you'd think But I'll be outside, preparing the sign On the roof I took my thoughts And painted your name beside mine With a heart that said will you keep me for all time And as the red paint runs, our house bleeds for us Gutters carrying thoughts, messing up our neighbourhood

about

A four year long quest to produce an album independently. We did our own playing, singing, recording, studio building, mic purchasing, mixing, mastering and production.

This album has 20 instruments on it, six different singers, and on some songs 71 tracks of stuff. Woah.

We hope you like it.
